Steady Sidekick provides dependable in-home pet sitting, midday dog walks, cat care, and drop-in visits throughout local Morris and Warren County communities. Each visit is built around your pet's regular routine: fresh water, feeding, exercise, litter care, medication reminders when needed, and the kind of patient attention that helps pets feel secure.
We care for dogs of all breeds, cats with big personalities, and smaller household pets. You will receive a clear update after each visit so you know your pet was cared for and your home was checked.

Hi, I am Tim, the steady hand behind Steady Sidekick.
I started Steady Sidekick after years of helping friends, family, and neighbors with their dogs, cats, and home-care routines. I believe good pet sitting is equal parts reliability, patience, and noticing the little details: which toy gets the tail wagging, which walking route feels calmer, and which cat prefers a slow hello.
My goal is simple: give every pet kind, consistent attention and give every owner the peace of mind that comes from knowing their sidekick is in caring hands.

Pet Sitting Visit
$30 / visit
Feeding, water refresh, potty break or short walk, playtime, mail retrieval, and basic home check.
Cat Sitting
$25 / visit
Food, fresh water, litter scoop, play or quiet company, and a tidy check around feeding areas.
Small Pet Care
$25 / visit
Care for fish, birds, rabbits, and other small pets using your written instructions.
Additional Fees
- Same-day request: $5
- Additional pet: $2 per visit
- Medication administration: $5 per day
- Holiday fee: $15 per visit

Holiday Surcharge
A holiday surcharge may apply for visits scheduled on major holidays and holiday weekends. Holiday fees will be confirmed before services are scheduled.
Keys & Home Access
Clients are responsible for providing reliable access before services begin. Keys, lockbox codes, garage codes, and alarm instructions must be accurate and up to date.
Inclement Weather
Pet safety comes first. During severe weather, extreme heat or cold, storms, ice, or unsafe walking conditions, outdoor time may be shortened and replaced with indoor care.
Reactive Pets
Clients must share any history of aggression, biting, reactivity, escape attempts, leash pulling, fearfulness, or behavior concerns. Services may be modified or stopped if safety becomes a concern.
Medication
Basic medications can be given when clear written instructions are provided. Instructions should include the medication name, dose, timing, and method of administration.
Cancellations
Please cancel as early as possible. Same-day cancellations may still be charged, and holiday or vacation care bookings may have separate cancellation terms.
Service Area
Steady Sidekick serves select areas in Morris County and Warren County. A travel fee may apply outside the standard service area or for visits requiring extended drive time.
Emergency Vet Care
If urgent care appears necessary and the client cannot be reached, Steady Sidekick may seek veterinary care for the pet. The client is responsible for veterinary and related costs.
Photos & Social Media
Photos may be taken during visits for client updates. Photos may be used for social media or marketing only with client permission.
Visit Length
Visits are scheduled for a minimum visit length based on the selected service. Minimum times help ensure pets receive proper care, attention, and a safe visit.
Last-Minute Bookings
Last-minute requests are accepted based on availability. Same-day or short-notice bookings may include an additional fee.
